Jesus is Real - by Pauline
For many years I was unhappy. Nothing could hold my attention for very long, and for the past 2 years had been obsessed with my own death. It was uppermost in my mind from dawn to dusk: it was preferable to this existence. I just did not know who to turn to. Pills did not work, neither did mental health counselling.
Then this summer, for the first time I was able to travel overseas; twice. I was hopiing that the trip would provide some answers, but no. I suffered greatly from the heat, a memory that will remain with me for the rest of my life. I returned home very disappointed.
Within a few weeks, some strange things started to happen. I started listening (almost obsissively) to music from my childhood (happier time). When I was really broke I found some money in the pockets of a pair of jeans and a jacket I hadn't worn in a long time; I could not stop singing, "God is Trying to Tell You Something", a gospel song I'd heard in a film. At this point an idea was beginning to take place, the only trouble was I'd stop believing in Jesus a long time ago. Then walking through town, I had a tract placed in my hand (I intended to throw it away like I usually do with religious pamphlets) then I watched a film called "Time Change", about a bible professor in the 1890's who travelled to the year 2002. I saw the world as it is today through his eyes and was horrified. It all fell into place. I decided then that I believed the Lord Jesus Christ is real and I wanted Him in my life as my Saviour. Of course I had some doubts, until I discovered the tract in my pocket and it asked, "Who will you blame? (for not entering the kingdom of Heaven). I needed no more clues as to the direction I should take.
I am happy now for the first time in many years, and I praise the Lord for that. Jesus is real, and we will hear Him speak to us if we only listen. I finally heard Him!!

My Guide, My Light
Since Jesus gotten hold of me
He will not let me go.
He leads me though the narrow path
How can I tell Him no!
He holds my hand securely
So follow Him I will;
For when I'm in His presence
He tells my storms, 'Be still!'
He leads me through life's highs and
He leads me through the lows,
And when I'm weak and want to quit
He helps me face my foes!
Jesus saved me with His blood
His life, and did not fight,
No greater love, than love like His!
Let Jesus be your guiding light.
